The American Red Cross offers two remote/contactless course formats: "Online Only" and "Virtual Learning." Both feature award-winning simulation learning & self-paced, interactive online instruction.

What is the difference?

Taken entirely online, Online Only courses provide a simple and inexpensive way to learn in the comfort of your home! These courses do not include the opportunity for you to demonstrate skill proficiency to a certified instructor, and therefore may not meet requirements for workplace safety certification.

Virtual Learning courses do provide a remote skills assesment with a certified instructor and meet OSHA requirements for traditional certification. Virtual Blended Learning courses allow you to learn online first, then demonstrate your skills to a certified instructor… in this case virtually!
